#KKR register their first win of the season as they beat #SRH by seven wickets! Kolkata chased down a target of 143 with 12 balls to spare.

IPL 2020, KKR vs SRH Live Cricket Score Online Updates: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are chasing 143 for the win against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

Batting first, SRH lost Jonny Bairstow to Pat Cummins (1/19) early. Varun Chakravarthy (1/25), the mystery spinner included in the KKR XI, picked up David Warner (36) in the 10th over. Manish Pandey (51) and Wriddhiman Saha (30) then put on a rebuilding effort. Andre Russell (1/16), who was introduced into the attack in the death overs, executed his variations to perfection to knock over the partnership. SRH finished with 142/4 in their 20 overs.

KKR win their first IPL match of the season and with some style! Shubman Gill led the charge for them in the chase with a responsible 70, and Eoin Morgan pitched in as well with an unbeaten 42. SRH, in the end, didn’t put up a challenging target for their opponents and were punished for that. KKR end their innings on 145/3 after 18 overs.

KKR almost seal the deal
After a four in the final ball of Rashid’s last over, Gill (67*) comes out all guns blazing against Abhishek Sharma with a massive six straight down the ground! He has really led KKR from the front tonight. 11 runs off the over. 12 more needed. KKR: 131/3 (17 ovs)

KKR need 30 off 30
Bhuvneshwar comes back into the attack as SRH look desperately for a wicket. He keeps the pressure on with some dot balls but a wicket of either Gill or Morgan will do them a world of good. Gill finishes it with a six. 11 runs off the over. KKR: 106/3 (15 ovs)

Fifty for Gill!
What a brilliant innings it has been for Gill here! KKR kept losing wickets but the 21-year-old has played with some real poise here, reaching his half century in 42 balls. Five fours and a six. If SRH are to win, they have to dismiss him. KKR: 97/3 (13 ovs)

GIll, Morgan hold on well
The boundaries have not dried up for KKR though and also not the consistent running between the wickets… that’s doing the trick for them. Gill (45*) and Morgan (13*) are playing quite responsibly here. 9 runs off Nabi’s third over. KKR: 89/3 (12 ovs)

SRH’s spin attack slows down KKR
After seven runs off the last over and a strategic time out, Nabi comes back in with the ball. SRH really are in the frontfoot now as they have limited the explosive pair of Gill and Morgan quiet. The asking runrate rises above 7 now. KKR: 72/3 (10 ovs)

SRH in the driving seat
Morgan comes on at number five and he instantly gets into trouble… almost. One bounce and the fielder at deep square leg grabs hold of the ball. Mohammad Nabi with an excellent over as he keeps the pressure on. Five runs off the over. KKR: 60/3 (8 ovs)

Rashid Khan comes on and he comes up with the goods straight away. The leg-spinner completely traps Karthik in between the wickets, who went in to defend the ball. Even the DRS couldn’t save the KKR captain. He departs for a 0. KKR: 53/3 (6.2 ovs)

Gill stays focussed in the chase
After an explosive start by KKR, SRH have some control over the match now after the dismissal of Rana. Still, Gill (24*) makes the most of two full-length balls by Khaleel and punishes him with back-to-back boundaries to the off-side. KKR: 52/2 (6 ovs)

T Natarajan is introduced by Warner in the fifth over, and he does the trick for SRH. After getting hit for a four by Rana, the pacer removes him from the pitch with a caught behind. Saha with the catch. The batsman departs on 26. KKR: 43/2 (4.4 ovs)

Rana on fire!
After Nitish Rana (22*) smacked Bhuvneshwar for two fours in the previous over, he keeps up the momentum. First ball against Khaleel, four to third man… and another one follows in the next ball. Nitish continues with his whirlwind knock with the fifth boundary of his innings after some brilliant backfoot work. 14 runs off the over. Dream start by Kolkata. KKR: 38/1 (4 ovs)

Gill smacks Khaleel for a maximum!
Khaleel seemed to have the upperhand after the wicket as he followed it up with two dots, but Gill (12*) shows his nerves of steel here. He comes forward and just lifts the ball over everyone’s heads for the first six of the innings. Clubbed. KKR: 12/1 (2 ovs)

Khaleel Ahmed has the ball for the second over, and he bags his 20th IPL wicket on just his second ball of the innings! Narine gets a leading edge, the ball goes high and lands safely in the hands of captain Warner. The batsman departs for 0. KKR: 6/1 (1.2 ovs)

Gill starts with a boundary
Gill starts the chase with aplomb as he smacks a full-length delivery for a four towards the deep-square leg on the fourth ball of the over. But the veteran pacer ends on a high as he bowls two dot balls to finish the over. KKR: 6/0 (1 ov)

Narine, Gill open for KKR
Sunil Narine and Shubman Gill are out to chase the target of 143. Bhuvneshwar Kumar with the ball. Can SRH restrict KKR?

SRH score 142/4 in 20 overs
Abhishek Sharma, another recent U19 star, comes in at 6 in the last over. No Priyam Garg today then. Russell beats him with a bouncer straight up. The batsmen scamper through for a bye to get Nabi on strike for the last ball. A bye to finish off as Russell beats Nabi with a bouncer too.

Brief Scores: Pandey 51, Warner 36, Saha 30, Russell 1/16, Cummins 1/19, Varun 1/25
